Power moonroof

The system includes four speakers and a digital clock. Standard on LX, LX 2.0, and ES 2.0, available on DX. An in-dash minidisc player, in-dash 6-CD changer and a cassette player are available as accessories for all models.

Power windows and door locks

Standard on 2004 LX, LX 2.0, and ES 2.0. The driver's window also has a one-touch-down feature-you can lower it all the way with a single touch of the switch, perfect for parking lots and toll gates. The door locks let you unlock only the driver's door, or all doors at once. Good for your security.

Remote keyless entry system with illuminated entry

Lock or unlock the Protegé from a distance, for safety and convenience. You can unlock only the driver's door or all the doors, and the interior lights come on when you unlock the car. Standard on the ES 2.0, available for LX models.

2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve engine

2004 Protegé ES 2.0 and LX 2.0 have a new 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 130 hp and 135 lb-ft of torque. It helps give these Protegés very responsive acceleration and all-around satisfying performance. The engine also meets strict ULEV (Ultra-Low Emissions Vehicle) standards.

1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve engine
